Friday morning began with a lecture on a "likelihood of confusion" refusal of a trademark pursuant to Section 2(d) of the Lanham Act and the example the instructor discussed, Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop vs. Vaccaro's Inc., came complete with free cannoli for all. Lunch was enjoyed outside with some dearly missed sunshine. The commute home was traffic-free since most of the city's denizens fled to their Memorial Day weekend haunts early. Dinner consisted of pizza from the newest Mount Pleasant restaurant, Radius (NY-style crust, but that's about it), preceded by two healthy scoops of triple shot espresso hand-made ice cream (Grade: A+) from Dos Gringos. All in all, a fine start to the weekend.
