Check out the sheer joy on this mug:

If he could talk, I'd imagine he'd be screaming something along the lines of "OH MY GOD! NINTENDO 64!!!" like this kid:

Eid Mubarak, all y'all!

Despite the gray clouds, the dead car battery (poor Cressie), the teething aches (poor ZP), and the work obligations (poor TP), we are thankful for our health, happiness, and our time together and we hope the same for ye.

Hittin' the big kid swings with attitude and panache while sporting a fancy motorcycle jacket from the high streets of Paris. Whether it's fleece-demanding cold or onesie hot, ZP is always stylin'. Aw yeah.

LB won a free iPod Shuffle whilst shopping at Safeway the other day. First, she couldn't believe that there wasn't a catch to it and almost offered it to the cashier. When she discovered that Safeway was having a promotion and all they wanted was her Safeway card (which she had), she accepted the freebie. Then, because she has a fancy pants iPod Nano already and KG has a hard-core iPod, she took pity on my dated, rubber-rimmed Rio-toting self and gave it to me. I actually quite liked my Rio but I haven't uploaded any new songs in ages and am not quite sure where the charger is and I love free stuff (who doesn't?). So today, I joined the ranks of the ubiquitous iPod-people and slipped the razor thin mp3 player into my back pocket and listened to my favorite tunes while blocking out all sounds of my fellow Metro-riders various wheezings, conversations, and coughing. Hmmm, I could get used to this. Anyway, YAY FOR LITTLE SISTERS! HOORAY! When Diapoman gets old enough, it's his.

Brrr, it's freezing! As much as I adore the beautiful foliage that comes with the fall package, I detest the cold weather that soon follows. Right now, it's still sweater season so I'm happy. But right around the corner is the ice and snow and wind that freezes your blood and cuts your lungs and phooey on all that! It gets dark so early - which during Ramadan is a bonus but during the commute home is not. Already I'm the last to sleep and the first to rise and getting up when it' still pitch black outside has always been the roughest part of Ramadan for me. The streets are going to get pot-holey, the park outings with ZP will be curtailed, and the sniffles will begin. Boo creepy foot doctor. So now I'm off to unpack my warm and woolies, to bring out the heavy comforters (where is my tiger blanket?), and to wrestle ZP into long sleeve shirts and long sleeve pants. Hope ye are staying warm and well.

Thanks for the love, y'all! I'm glad this blog hasn't become a barren wasteland after all. Hope to have some pix of ZP up soon, but in the meantime, enjoy these pearls of insanity:

LB should be thankful I never snuck up on her and secretly videotaped her doing one of her song-and-dance routines. See poor fat kid demonstrating his mad Gnarls Barley skillz here.

And if you wanna go a bit more old school, check out these guys, the "Chinese Back Dorm Boys," lip synching to Backstreet Boys.
